Northeast Ohio Chocolates

As Valentine's Day approaches, it's time to stock up on chocolate and Northeast Ohio offers two excellent chocolate manufacturers. Cleveland's Malley's Chocolates is a Northeast Ohio institution. With 17 locations, this family-run company, in business since 1935, offers all of the perennial favorites, such as buckeyes, turtles, and chocolate-covered pretzels. For Valentine's Day and Sweetest Day, they also feature hand-dipped chocolate-covered strawberries.

In Akron, Harry London Chocolates offers over 500 different chocolate creations, including candy bars, gourmet pretzels, mocha melts, toffee, truffles, and many more.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Chooses 2009 Inductees

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its 2009 inductees. The 600-member Rock Hall selection committee has chosen:The new Rock Hall members will be inducted in a ceremony at the Cleveland's Public Hall on April 4, 2009. There is usually a simulcast broadcast and party at the Rock Hall , but no plans have yet been announced. A limited number of tickets will be made available to Rock Hall members on January 22 and 23, with tickets going on sale to the general public on January 24. Look for more on this later.

Artists are eligible to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first record. Inductees are chosen based on the significance of the artist's work as well as its contribution to developing the rock and roll music genre. Past inductees include The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Fats Domino.

Stay Safe in the Frigid Weather

With Cleveland temperatures hovering near zero, the coldest all year, take care to stay safe in these dangerous temperatures.
