Crop Production >> Biofuels
Biofuels have generated considerable “food vs. fuel” controversy, because they are derived from crops that are normally used for human food or animal feed. They are also controversial because they are often heavily subsidized by central governments to make them competitive in the fuel market. However, some see them as one component of a renewable energy future.
