Northwest Alabama RC&D Council

The Northwest Alabama RC&D Council consists of five counties: Lauderdale, Franklin, Colbert, Marion, and Winston.

The Council concentrates on four areas: Land Management, Water Management, Land Conservation, and Community Development. A few current and former projects include Water Festivals, Native American Festival, Envirothon, Wheels to Work, Progressive Farmer Safety Day Camp, support to Senior Citizen Centers, Community Centers, rural Volunteer Fire Departments, and assistance to small family farms, enabling them to remain a vital link in the agriculture system
