State Agencies South Dakota
South
Dakota’s Coordinated School Health Program (CSHP) is a collaborative effort
between the South Dakota Department of Education and the South Dakota
Department of Health. The CSHP works with schools, local health departments,
governmental agencies, and professional organizations to improve the health
and academic success of South Dakota’s children through the implementation
of the CSHP model. South Dakota receives funding from CDC’s Division of
Adolescent and School Health to promote coordinated school health, provide
HIV prevention education, and conduct the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS).
