Founded
in July 2006, the Center for Distance Health (CDH) is a new,
innovative Center within the College of Medicine that will allow
the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to respond
to the demands for dynamic, contemporary health care. CDH is
not only the logical integration of clinical and educational
telehealth services at UAMS, but also an organized research
and outreach network. The Center will promote the University’s
mission by supporting utilization of UAMS’ expertise to
effectively reduce disparities in health care in Arkansas, while
supporting ground-breaking research and cutting-edge programs.
Here you will find all information relevant to the CDH.
If you want to learn more about telemedicine and telehealth
capabilities and initiatives, you are in the right place.
This Web site will serve as a portal for information regarding
telehealth efforts in Arkansas, the Delta, nationally, and
even internationally. On this site, UAMS personnel can learn how to usher
telehealth technology into their respective fields. The CDH
will act as an expert consultant and advocate to develop
creative telemedicine initiatives in all areas of health care
delivery.
Please browse through the CDH web pages to learn more about
its initiatives and how the CDH can help you
meet the needs of your patients near and far.
