Crude and Age-Adjusted Prevalence of Any Mobility Limitation per 100 Adults with Diabetes, United States, 1997–2005
In 2005, among adults with diabetes, 60.2% reported a mobility limitation (i.e., walking a quarter mile, climbing up 10 steps, standing for 2 hours, or stooping, bending or kneeling). This rate was 5 percents lower than the rate in 1997 (65.2%). Trends in the crude and age-adjusted prevalence were similar.
