new On February 12th 2009, the University of Auckland's School of Biological Sciences is hosting a one day symposium to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the publication of the origin of species and Darwin's 200th birthday. This is a free event, with a series of seminars from New Zealand and international speakers.

new New book, Surveillance for Biosecurity: Pre-Border to Pest Management, is now available, and contains papers from the 2008 symposium on Surveillance for Biosecurity.

new Now available: Future Challenges in Crop Protection: Repositioning New Zealand's Primary Industries for the Future, containing papers from the 2007 symposium.

New Zealand Plant Protection 61 (2008) is now available with full pdfs of articles.

The New Zealand Plant Protection Medal, awarded for exceptional services to plant protection in New Zealand, was awarded to Arthur Healy.
