Re: Continental Airlines/IBT Reach Tentative Agreement

Washington, D.C.: The National Mediation Board is pleased to announce that Continental Airlines and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT), reached a tentative agreement on October 18, 2002, covering the craft or class of Mechanics and Related Employees. The negotiations were conducted with the assistance of Mediator Rich Frey and Senior Mediator Patricia Sims.

The agreement is subject to union member ratification. Specific information regarding the contract or its provisions should be obtained directly from the parties.
