Re: UTU and PATH reach Tentative Agreement

Washington, D.C. -- The National Mediation Board is pleased to announce that the United Transportation Union (UTU) and the Port Authority Transit Hudson Railway (PATH) reached a tentative contract agreement on October 8, 2002, covering the craft or class of Conductors. The negotiations were conducted with the assistance of Mediator Dick Hanusz and Deputy Chief of Staff Larry Gibbons. Union membership ratification is expected within 30 days.

Specific information regarding the contract or its provisions should be obtained directly from the parties.
