NMB Board Member Ernie DuBester confirmed today that a tentative agreement was reached last night between US Airways and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM&AW). The parties agreed to continue working under the existing contract pending approval of the new agreement by the carrier=s 7,000 mechanics and related employees. DuBester and mediator John Schrage said the agreement followed nine days of intensive efforts by the parties to overcome major differences and achieve final resolution.
