RE: US AIRWAYS - INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MACHINIST AND AEROSPACE WORKERS (IAM&AW)

The National Mediation Board (NMB) made the following announcement today.

Nearing completion of three days of public interest mediation scheduled by the National Mediation Board, Board Member Ernie DuBester asked US Airways and the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers (IAM&AW) to continue in mediation in order to maintain focus on reaching an agreement and avoiding disruption to the public. DuBester said that the parties have agreed to continue meeting with the goal of reaching an agreement between the carrier and its 7,000 mechanics and related employees.
