Re: IBEW and the Metro North Railroad reach Tentative Agreement

Washington, D.C. -- The National Mediation Board is pleased to announce that the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the Metro North Railroad reached a tentative contract agreement on April 25, 2002.

Mediation began in May 2000, and was guided by mediator Samuel Cognata, who was assisted by Deputy Chief of Staff, Larry Gibbons.

Specific information regarding the contract or its provisions should be obtained directly from the parties.
