Re: Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad and BRS Reach Tentative Agreement

Washington, D.C. -- The National Mediation Board (NMB) is pleased to announce that the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad and the International Brotherhood of Signalmen (BRS) reached a tentative contract agreement on March 20, 2003, covering the craft or class of Signalmen. Mediation was guided by NMB Mediators Dick Hanusz and Rich Frey.

The agreement is subject to union member ratification. Specific information regarding the contract or its provisions should be obtained directly from the parties.
