Re: TCIU and the Iowa Interstate Railroad reach Tentative Agreement

Washington, D.C. -- The National Mediation Board is pleased to announce that the Transportation Communications International Union (TCIU) and the Iowa Interstate Railroad reached a tentative contract agreement on January 9, 2003, covering the craft or class of Carmen.

Mediation was guided by NMB mediators Dick Hanusz and Brad Laslett. This agreement is subject to union member ratification. Specific information regarding the contract or its provisions should be obtained directly from the parties.
