Re: PEB Photo Opportunity

Helen Witt, Chairman of the United Airlines-IAM Presidential Emergency Board, has announced that the Board will allow a fifteen minute photo opportunity before the Emergency Board officially convenes. Photographs will be allowed between 8:45 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 9, 2002, at the National Labor Relations Board Hearing Room, Suite 11000. The NLRB headquarters are located at 1099 14th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. (The National Labor Relations Board is a separate federal agency that is loaning hearing room space to the Presidential Emergency Board.)

In order to be admitted to the photo opportunity, the following requirements must be met. Only individuals complying with all of the requirements will be admitted to the NLRB headquarters building.

1. Only properly credentialed press photographers will be admitted. No interviews will be granted.
   
   
2. All photographers must supply a full name, as it appears on the press credential, and the name of the organization for whom they are credentialed. This information must be submitted to the NMB no later than noon on Tuesday, January 8, 2002. The information should be supplied by leaving a voice mail on the NMB press line, 202-692-5050. The line will be checked for the last time at noon, Eastern, on Tuesday, January 8th. The information will be forwarded to the NLRB security office. All photographers must be cleared through NLRB security - the group will be escorted by NLRB security to the meeting room, and escorted back to the lobby after the photo opportunity.
   
   
3. All photographers must gather in the lobby of NLRB headquarters no later than 8:30 a.m., on Wednesday, January 9, 2002.
   
   
4. All photographers must have press credentials in hand on January 9th in order to be admitted.
