Update from the South: As expected, new soybean rust finds have cropped up this past week. During this past month, soybean rust has been reported in nine counties in Alabama; seven counties in Arkansas; ten counties in Georgia, five counties in Florida; one county in Louisiana; 13 counties in Mississippi, and one county in Texas. Update from the south: Several new sites in Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida were reported this past week. Again, this was expected. Perfect weather for soybean rust development continues in many of these areas. Louisiana abandoned their scouting efforts as they recover from Hurricane Gustav and are hoping that Ike continues to track west. Read More
