The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is
a public policy research institution dedicated to analysis and policy
impact. CSIS is the only institution of its kind that maintains
resident experts on all the world's major geographical regions.
The Center's staff of 90 policy experts, 80 support staff, and 70
interns, is committed to generating strategic analysis, exploring
contingencies, analyzing policy options, exploring contingencies,
and making policy recommendations.

Stockholm International Peace Research
Institute
Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has
built its reputation and standing on competence, professional skills,
and the collection of hard data and precise facts, rendering accessible
impartial information on weapon developments, arms transfers and
production, military expenditure, as well as on arms limitations,
reductions and disarmament. The task of the Institute is to conduct
scientific research on questions of conflict and cooperation of
importance for international peace and security with the aim of
contributing to an understanding of the conditions for peaceful
solution of international conflicts and for a stable peace. This
site offers research reports on the aforementioned areas of peace

Counterterrorism Office
The Office of Counterterriorism coordinates all U.S. Government
efforts to improve counterterriorism cooperation with foreign governments.
Among the information available on this site is official statements
from the Coalition Against Terrorism, White House information from
the Multi-Front War on Terrorism, Terrorism Sanctions, and up-to-date
Congressional bills and resolutions related to the attack of September
11, 2001. The "Foreign Terrorist Organizations" designations report,
along with other releases and reports is also on the site. The "Archives"
section contains such reports as "Patterns of Global Terrorism"
(1995-1999) and "Significant Incidents of Political Violence Against
Americans" (1995-1999).
