Abstract: In 1989 the fourth Missouri forest inventory found 14.0 million acres of forest land, of which 13.4 million acres (96%) is timberland. Growing-stock volume increased from 6.5 to 9.0 billion cubic feet between 1972 and 1989. Analysis and statistics on forest area, timber volume, growth, removals, mortality, and projections are presented.
