Education isn't just for kids.  It is true that Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant has a treasure trove of creative activities, many have been designed and field tested by teachers, for kindergartners through high school age children.

But there are also programs that provide real world experiences for graduate students and adult professionals like fish farmers, water resource managers, and others who are interested in more information about invasive species, aquaculture, water quality, and other topics.  Outreach staff work closely with Sea Grant researchers to share this information in a way that will be easy to understand and apply at a level appropriate for each young person or adult.

Through our science-based teaching efforts we are giving students information and skills that will help them make wise decisions as consumers and citizens.  We hope to bring a greater understanding of the problems and potential solutions linked to water issues so we can all enjoy the rich resources in Southern Lake Michigan.
