Call for Manuscripts HortTechnology, one of 3 journals published by the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS), will launch a new section in 2008 for research papers focused on the diverse field of Public Horticulture, positioning it as one of the few, refereed journals recognizing the value of this growing, professional field. This new section will serve to identify common ground, encourage discussion, and facilitate the exchange of peer-reviewed, research-based information between members of the horticultural science and public horticulture communities.

The Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) has announced the release of the FY 2008 Request for Applications (RFA) for the Crops at Risk (CAR) and the Risk Avoidance and Mitigation (RAMP) Competitive Grant Programs. The goal of CAR is to create or enhance IPM practices for individual food or fiber crops grown for commercial purposes. The goal of RAMP is to enhance the development and implementation of innovative IPM strategies for multi-crop food and fiber production systems, or production systems on an area-wide or landscape scale. |
