November Software Tip: Outlook 2007 calendar overlay

If you manage more than one calendar, you might like Outlook 2007's new calendar overlay feature, which allows you to put multiple calendars into one single view. For example, you could track personal appointments on a separate calendar from business appointments or look at a few other employees' calendars in one view. Calendar overlay is a great way to identify scheduling conflicts and it helps you get a complete view of your schedule. Check out the following link for instructions to overlay your calendars: Outlook 2007 calendar overlay

This is the second in a series of tech tips related to new functionality in Office 2007.  Mac users please note, the interface between Office 2004 and Office 2008 is virtually the same, so you will not be affected by the interface changes in Office 2007 outlined in this tech tip.

Is there a technology question or topic that you've always wondered about? We are always looking to provide articles that will help our customers. Please send any of your suggestions to your IT Manager.

The Community Network is ready to deploy the newest versions of Microsoft Office. The enhanced classrooms and labs around campus will be upgraded over summer 2008. This will ensure appropriate compatibility with classroom tools like Quizdom. Please visit the Office 2007 Migration page for more details.

We are contracting with a trainer to present three Office 2007 workshops. The classes will be held on Tuesday, August 5 on the OSU campus; the instructor will present three identical 2.5 hour sessions during the day. Topics to be covered are located here.
