Oregon State University aspires to be among the Top 10 Land Grant institutions in America through developing academic excellence in its instructional, research and outreach programs, creation of an outstanding learning environment for its students, and maximizing the impact of its programs on economic and social development of the region and the broader society. The university’s Strategic Plan for the 21st Century defines our vision and values, and the five thematic areas that serve as a focus to developing academic excellence and to prioritize OSU’s academic resources and investments.

The Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President is responsible for leading implementation of the university’s strategic plan. This process includes annually establishing implementation strategies in enhancing student success; increasing research and outreach; enhancing community and diversity; increasing resources; and tracking progress on those activities. The Annual Campus Report details strategies and their outcomes.

The Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President provides leadership and support to all of Oregon State University's academic colleges. This responsibility includes overseeing functions that enable success of the academic enterprise, including faculty and student services, information technology services, research and graduate program administration, and activities and initiatives for extension and distance and continuing education.

We continuously strive to enhance our programs and services to better serve our students, faculty, and staff. I welcome your suggestions to help us in these efforts.
