Recreation Site Facility Master Planning in the Northern Region

National forests and grasslands across the country are undertaking this process. To learn more about recreation site master planning and learn how you can become more involved visit the Northern Region RS-FMP web page.

Bitterroot National Forest Proposed Program of Work (PPOW)

The Proposed Program of Work is an analytical document that describes the vision for a Forest’s or Grasslands’s recreation program, with specific actions proposed for recreation sites. The PPOW also wasn’t designed or formatted for easy public review. We are working on ways to make this more understandable – and readable. You may view a full copy (.pdf, 825kb) of the final PPOW for the Bitterrot, or a one page summary (.pdf, 54kb).

Management Option Codes - Decoder (.pdf, 842kb)

If you have any questions on the PPOW or need additional clarification, please give us a call! The RFA contact for the Bitterroot National Forest is Mary Laws phone: 406-821-4252.
