There
has been considerable interest in the use of baking soda (sodium
bicarbonate, NaHCO3) and potassium bicarbonate (KHCO3) to control
powdery mildew and other fungal diseases of plants. This publication
provides a brief survey of observations, research, and recommendations
on the use of bicarbonates in horticulture.
