Type data: (male) syntypes whereabouts unknown; Donovan in the original description did not indicate the number of specimens described; described from the Macleay collection and may yet be unrecognised in that collection in Sydney. Type locality: New South Wales (in the original publication; at that time NSW included the whole eastern coast of Australia but the Sydney area is the most likely type locality).
