National Atmospheric Deposition Symposium

The National Atmospheric Deposition Program (NADP) is a cooperative research support program of state agricultural experiment stations, federal and state agencies, and non-governmental research organizations. It is an internationally recognized program that provides long-term, high-quality precipitation chemistry measurements in order to evaluate temporal and spatial trends in wet deposition.

Ray Knighton, CSREES National Program Leader for Air Quality, gave a keynote address at the 2008 NADP annual meeting on the topic of deposition monitoring and research needs for agriculture in the next decade. The audience for this annual event includes scientists, policymakers, regional managers, and students interested in air quality, atmospheric deposition and its effects on natural and cultural resources.
