Amusing and often complex, editorial cartoons can be an excellent way to understand popular politics and culture. The image below has been selected from a Library of Congress online exhibition of Pat Oliphant's editorial cartoons. As you examine the cartoon, keep in mind the following questions:

2. Can you identify the famous moments of his career portrayed in this cartoon?
3. What can you determine about the relationship of the cartoonist to the subject?
