FBI Alerts the Public of Latest E-Mail Fraud Soliciting Financial Assistance for Sago Mine Incident Survivor

The FBI today is warning the public of a fraudulent e-mail in circulation that requests financial assistance for the survivor of the tragic mining incident in Sago, West Virginia. The e-mail falsely claims to be authored by a physician at the hospital where the survivor is currently receiving medical attention. It describes the condition of the survivor and the financial assistance that is needed for a full recovery. Read more...
