CESWF-EC-TG
- Plans, conducts, and coordinates field studies, interprets subsurface data, and develops all geotechnical analyses and recommendations to be presented in planning documents, design analyses, permits, licenses, and plans and specifications. Performs and coordinates geotechnical surface and subsurface field investigations as related to military and civil design, hazardous/toxic waste contamination assessments, construction, and operations and maintenance projects. Conducts subsurface investigations (drilling) utilizing in-house/hired labor. Prepares specifications and acts as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contract drill work.
- Determines foundation and embankment details of all civil works structures. Performs field reconnaissance as necessary to document compliance with geotechnical design during construction.
- Serves as Geotechnical consultant to Engineering and Construction Division for ongoing construction projects and to Office of Counsel on legal disputes (claims) involving geotechnical matters.
- Responsible for all aspects of Dam Safety. Coordinates and conducts Periodic Inspections of operating dams and presents Dam Safety training. Prepares Flood Emergency Plans and coordinates the preparation of Reservoir Filling Plans.
