First ENBI workshop: Open-access for biodiversity information

The European Network for Biodiversity Information (ENBI) has the general objective to manage an open network of relevant biodiversity information centre in Europe and other countries of the western European palaeartic region. One of the main objectives of ENBI is the dissemination of information and expertise about data contents and data management technologies as well as best practice procedures, to inform both institutional staff including new generations of scientists, and policy makers. In this context ENBI organize and carry out an annual electronic conference and associated workshop. The topic for this First ENBI Workshop will be derived from the issues raised during the First ENBI e-conference: Open-access for biodiversity information (10th to 28th September) and the Second ENBI e-conference which will be held from (9th to 24th March).
