GBIF GB9 (post-meeting Information)

New Zealand is pleased to host the ninth meeting of the Governing Board (GB9) of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). This meeting is open only to official delegates to the Governing Board, and persons specifically invited by GBIF to observe the meeting.

The Governing Board meeting, GBIF committee and subcommittee meetings, and the Pacific Biodiversity Information Facility (PBIF) meeting will take place in from 4-8 October 2004.

The meeting will take place in Wellington, New Zealand. The venue is the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa (often shortened to "Te Papa").

It is very important that you:

• Make a hotel reservation before 1 August.
• Apply for a visa at least 4 weeks prior to the meeting if that is required for your country.
• Begin now to apply for collecting permits if you are interested in collecting specimens in New Zealand.
