1 . How do I switch between OS 9 and OS X?

In OS 9, open the "Startup Disk" Control Panel. Click the icon of the Hard Disk that contains the OS X icon. Click the "Restart" button and you'll reboot in OS X. It will always start from OS X until you change it again.

To switch from OS X to OS 9, open the "System Preferences" file and select "Startup Disk". Choose the OS 9 icon and click "Restart".

2 . How do I get out of a "freeze"?

You can perform a "Force Quit" by pressing the Option Key - Command (Apple) Key - Esc Key. A window will appear informing you of the application (or Finder) you're quitting from. You CANNOT save changes to any files you've been working on when performing a "Force Quit".
