Presentations

Many presentations created for NACD Annual Meeting breakout sessions, the annual Stewardship Week Program, Leadership conferences and other meetings and functions have lasting value to districts and are a tool that can be used for other purposes.

Board Diversity Presentation
The Conservation Partnership created this presentation for districts interested in adding diversity to their boards. The presentation is full of great information and useful tips on how to recruit new board members and generate interest. | PPT |

Education Presentations
NACD's Stewardship Program is a great source of conservation education materials and resources, including presentations. Presentations often revolve around the yearly conservation themes such as soil and water. Some even have accompanying activities for kids to apply what they've learned.

Leadership Presentations
NACD hosted the Cooperative Conservation Partnership Leadership Training Conference in November 2006. Presentations covered many leadership topics, including building and mentoring new leaders; making yourself attractive to funders; evaluating a locally-led program; and more.

Southeast Presentations
The Southeast Region highlighted the accomplishments of districts at its 2007 Southeast Region meeting in Williamsburg, Virginia. The district showcases cover projects ranging from use of a Section 319 Grant to stabalize sediment loads from public dirt roads, education and outreachmethods, district official training programs and more.
