Health Protection Research Initiative: Institutional Research Training Grant (T01)

In FY 2004, CDC awarded three graduate training program grants to institutions of higher education for $1.9 million. The purpose of this program is to ensure a continuing supply of well-trained scientists prepared to lead and conduct cutting-edge public health research. This program supports Master’s and Doctoral level recipients.  A major focus of the awarded grants was the promotion of the development of new and innovative academic component programs that were highly relevant to the field of public health research.
