FNIC and its special project websites, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)-Ed Connection (formerly Food Stamp Nutrition Connection), the Healthy Meals Resource System (HMRS), and WIC Works Resource System (WWRS), maintain databases of nutrition education materials. There is also a small Native American Education Database, and databases available from the International Bibliographic Information on Dietary Supplements (IBIDS) and the Food Safety Research Information Office (FSRIO).

Borrowing Materials from NAL

Eligible patrons may borrow directly from the library; others may obtain the resources through interlibrary loan via their local library. Information on lending services at NAL can be found on the Request Library Materials web page.

Note: Effective July 1, 2007 NAL is discontinuing the direct service document delivery program for special affiliated food and nutrition programs (Expanded Patron category), which was previously supported by an interagency agreement.
