Grants.gov is to provide a simple, unified electronic storefront for interactions between grant applicants and the Federal agencies that manage grant funds. There are 26 Federal grant-making agencies and over 900 individual grant programs that award over $350 billion in grants each year. The site provides information on finding grant opportunities, downloading RFA's, application packages and specific grants that can be applied for through this site.

    Community of Science, Inc. is the leading Internet site for the global R&D community. COS brings together the world's most prominent scientists and researchers from over 1,600 universities, corporations and government agencies worldwide. COS provides tools and services that enable these professionals to communicate, exchange information and find people and technologies that are important to their work. COS Funding Opportunities (tm) is the largest source of grant information on the Web.

Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS) - University of Hawaii subscriber site - requires @hawaii.edu e-mail

    IRIS offers three Web-based funding and research services: the IRIS Database of federal and private funding opportunities in all disciplines; the IRIS Alert Service and the IRIS Expertise Service. The IRIS Database currently contains over 8,600 active federal and private funding opportunities in the sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. In addition to funding opportunities for faculty, the IRIS Database also contains fellowships and scholarships for grad students and undergrads.
