Endangered pawpaw species
We received
Asimina tetramera plants from Neal Peterson of the Pawpaw
foundation in September 1994. These plants flowered in our greenhouse
during the summer and we have just harvested 19 seed from the very unusual
4-lobed fruit. The seeds of this endangered species are in the germinator
in an attempt to produce additional plants. Asimina tetramera is native
to Southern Florida.
