The latest test build of the new GBIF Data Portal is now online at http://newportal.gbif.org/. GBIF is ready to receive comments on all aspects of its performance. Especially, we ask your help to identify areas which must have significant work before we can launch this new portal as a replacement for the existing prototype (http://www.gbif.net/).

Please provide comments by 28 May 2007 (so we have time to implement fixes before the official Launch Event, which is scheduled for 2 July 2007).

Testers can provide comments through an online survey at SurveyMonkey or (if the survey causes problems) by e-mail to portal@gbif.org.

We suggest that you may wish to review the survey before testing the portal, because the survey provides some suggestions for tasks that you can attempt.
