News: Denmark continues assisting developing countries to participate in GBIF

Recently, the Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided 1.5M Danish kroner (approximately €200,000) to the GBIF Supplementary Fund.

The Danish funds are to be used to enable representatives of developing countries to attend GBIF events, , such as Governing Board meetings, workshops, and training activities, over the three years 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Denmark has made similar grants during all the years that GBIF has been in existence. GBIF invites other Participants to make similar contributions to the Supplementary Fund.
