GBIF Node Mentoring
activities are intended to foster collaboration between Nodes in order to facilitate the
quick transfer of information technologies, experiences and know-how from a
“more developed” GBIF Node to a “less developed” GBIF Node.
The 2006 mentoring process
was initiated on 09-05-2006 with the call for offers of mentoring services by "more developed" Nodes. See more here about this call.
Subsequent steps in the process will be:
- Call for NODES Mentoring projects (June)
- Evaluation of proposals (July-August)
- Announcement of awarded projects (September)
Past mentoring projects have helped or are helping nodes from Argentina, Ghana, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Peru and Portugal. See more about some of these projects.
