CIPM Cooperative Weed Management Area Grants

CIPM-Funded Projects | Help with Proposal Writing | Other Funding Sources
The Center for Invasive Plant Management
will not offer CWMA grants in 2007.

We hope that the CWMA Grants program will resume in future years.

In the interim, look on our Grants page for other CWMA funding possibilities, and see grant-writing advice and tutorials below.

CIPM-Funded Projects

CIPM has contributed funding to 98 CWMAs in 16 states. 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 CWMAs are listed below. Links take you to abstracts, websites, or final reports.

Final reports offer excellent examples of how CWMAs work, and how varied they can be. The Sunlight-Crandall CWMA report describes how a CWMA is organized, develops an action plan, and implements weed management measures. The Harding County Report describes how a low-budget, creative project can go a long way toward preventing weeds from becoming established. The Wilson Restoration Project is a good example of working with landowners in a subdivision.
