Federal Employees Donate to Local CharitiesContact: Cheryl Caplan, (541) 957-3270 ROSEBURG, OR – December 11, 2008 – Federal employees from the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and NOAA Fisheries combined their fundraising efforts to donate $24,330 to local and nationwide charities during the annual six-week Combined Federal Campaign. In the last five years, the same set of employees has donated more than $134,000 to the campaign. "The Combined Federal Campaign is an opportunity for Federal employees to show their support for our community and have some fun doing it," said Umpqua National Forest Supervisor Cliff Dils. Combined Federal Campaign is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. ### |
