Directions to the Southern Research Station Headquarters
in Asheville, North Carolina

From the Asheville Airport: Take I-26 West for 9 miles until it intersects with I-40 and I-240. Take I-240 East into Asheville (center lanes); this is also continuation of I-26 West. Take exit # 4a (left exit, marked "Weaverville and UNCA"); Hwy is I-26 W (also labeled US19/23 N). Follow this for approximately 2 miles to the 2nd exit (Exit #25, marked "Broadway, Hwy 251 and UNCA"). Turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Turn left at the 2nd light (Weaver Blvd). The entrance to the Southern Research Station Headquarters will be the first driveway on the right once you turn onto Weaver Blvd.

From I-81 in Tennessee: Take I-81 South from VA to the exit for Johnson City (I-181). Follow I-181 to the NC state line where it becomes Interstate 26 East and Hwy 19/23 South. Continue on I-26 East for approximately 20-25 miles. As you approach the north side of Asheville look for exit 25, marked "Broadway and UNCA". Take this exit and turn left at end of ramp. Turn left again onto Weaver Blvd at the 2nd light. Entrance to the Southern Research Station Headquarters will be the first driveway on your right after you turn onto Weaver Blvd.

Heading West on I-40: Take I-40 West to I-240 West (exit # 53). Follow I-240 through downtown to I-26 West (also labelled US Hwy 19/23 North, exit # 4a, marked "Weaverville and UNCA"). Follow I-26 West for approximately 2 miles to the 2nd exit (exit 25, marked "Broadway, Hwy 251 and UNCA"). Turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Turn left at the 2nd light (Weaver Blvd). The entrance to the Southern Research Station Headquarters will be the first driveway on the right once you turn onto Weaver Blvd.

Heading East on I-40: Take I-40 East to I-240 East and I-26 West (we THINK it's exit # 46, but it's an exit from the LEFT lane). Follow I-240 east and I-26 West through the western part of Asheville. After you pass the exit for Hwy 19/23 South, get in the left lane, following signs for I-26 West.  It will merge with traffic from another road. Again, you need to get in the far left-hand lane as you go over the bridge over the French Broad River.  Take exit 4a, marked I-26 West, Hwy 19/23 North, "Weaverville and UNCA". After about 2 miles, take the 2nd exit (Exit #25, marked "Broadway, Hwy 251 and UNCA"). Turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Turn left at the 2nd light (Weaver Blvd). The entrance to the Southern Research Station Headquarters will be the first driveway on the right once you turn onto Weaver Blvd.
