Tom Jordan became Indiana’s Sustainable Agriculture State Coordinator for NCR-SARE in January, 2008. Dr. Jordan has been with Purdue University since 1978, as Professor and Extension Weed Science Specialist with the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology. As the Assistant Director of the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service (November 1, 1999 to April 1, 2008), Dr. Jordan was responsible for state-wide leadership for the Agricultural and Natural Resources Extension program for the State of Indiana. Presently, Dr. Jordan is serving as state representative to the NCR- IR-4 and is leading the state’s Small Farms effort, as well as Purdue’s Specialty Crops initiative. Additionally, Dr. Jordan will continue his responsibilities as a state Extension Weed Specialists for Agronomic Crops. Dr. Jordan completed his Ph.D. at Purdue in 1974.
