Signed into law by Governor Palin (Jun 17, 2008), instructs the commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources to appoint a state coordinator for noxious weed, invasive plant and agricultural pest management and education.

Atlantic Salmon... are considered to be an invasive threat in Alaskan Waters
Alaska Department of Fish & Game.
Captured Atlantic salmon should NOT be cleaned but delivered whole to the nearest Alaska Department of Fish and Game office. Please also notify ADF&G staff of any Atlantic salmon observed in Alaskan streams or rivers.
