Agriculture and Food Research Initiative - Plant Genome, Genetics, and Breeding

This program supports research projects ranging from conventional plant breeding to fundamental science in the United States. The ultimate goal of the program is to contribute knowledge about the biology of agriculturally or ecologically important plant processes and traits, which can be used to breed plants with enhanced value and expanded utilities. This program makes single function research awards.
