California Sea Grant Advisors

Part of Sea Grant's mission is to move the results of marine research out of the universities and into the hands of people who use or manage coastal and ocean resources. At the same time, university scientists need to be made aware of the marine-related information needs of industry, government, and the public.

California Sea Grant's primary arm for achieving this two-way communication is its Sea Grant Extension Program. Administratively housed within the University of California Cooperative Extension, the program utilizes the talents and expertise of technical specialists and area advisors to conduct research on high-priority problems and to provide information and advice to a wide variety of constituents.
