The Equine Research Hall of Fame

The Equine Research Hall of Fame honors those researchers, those pioneers, those visionaries, who have dedicated their careers, and often their lives, to equine science in order to better serve humankind’s faithful servant and friend — the horse.

The Equine Research Hall of Fame, established by the University of Kentucky Gluck Equine Research Foundation, recognizes scientists who have distinguished themselves in the field of equine research.  Located in the Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center in Lexington, Kentucky, the Hall of Fame was established to honor individuals who have dedicated their careers to expanding the body of knowledge of equine science through their contributions to basic or applied research.  The award provides a lasting tribute to renowned scientists from around the world and serves as an international forum for honoring top achievements in equine health research.

Listed below are the 18 inductees that have been selected to date from a much larger group of distinguished nominees since 1990.  Each name also represents a link to a short biography about the awardee.
