Regional issue description:
Watershed management is gaining broad application in Region
2. Scores of programs are underway, responding to local
issues, engaging interested stakeholders and crafting innovative
initiatives to restore and protect valuable water resources.
We are exploring science based programming that provides
an understanding of the functioning of watersheds and the
role that individuals and organizations can play in watershed
protection. To support these various programs, the Regional
Water Quality program is currently developing a regional
initiative within the watershed management theme area. Please
check back for progress.
