Library Resources

Winterthur Library is a recognized center for advanced study and is dedicated to the understanding and appreciation of America's artistic, cultural, social, and intellectual history from colonial times into the twentieth century.

WinterCat
WinterCat is the library's online catalogue and includes more than 80,000 bibliographic records. Records for imprints, periodicals, rare printed materials, manuscript and ephemera holdings, photographs, and archival resources are all in one database, which researchers can use to determine the library's holdings on any given topic, person, or organization through one search.

ISeeDAPC
The online resource ISeeDAPC contains photographs and cataloging records of decorative and fine arts objects held in public and private collections throughout the United States. These records represent the last seven years of cataloging done for the Decorative Arts Photographic Collection (DAPC) and the Photographic Index of American Art and Design (PIAAD).

Guides to the Collections
Guides are available for several collections and areas of research in the library.
